**Intento Translation API**

This API enables integration with the Intento Translation API, providing access to:
- Supported languages and language pairs
- Smart Routing management
- Submitting texts or XLIFF files for translation (asynchronous)
- Retrieving results of asynchronous translations

**Authentication:**
All API requests require authentication using an API key. To obtain your API key:
1. Register for an account at [Intento Console](https://console.inten.to)
2. Navigate to the API section in your account dashboard
3. Get an API key
4. Include this key in the 'apikey' header with all your requests

**Security Best Practices:**
- Store API keys securely in environment variables or a secrets manager
- Never hardcode API keys in client-side applications
- Implement appropriate access controls for your translation services
- Use HTTPS for all API communications
- Consider implementing a proxy service to handle API key management
- Monitor for suspicious activity patterns in your API usage


Intento Translation API

Translation

Returns a paginated list of previous translation operations for your account.
This endpoint allows you to audit, review, or reuse any job by its details, matching the behavior of:

List translation operations

Translate text from one language to another using machine translation services.
This endpoint supports various formats (plain text, HTML, XML, XLIFF), bulk translation mode,
automatic language detection, and content processing rules. Either routing or provider must be specified
but not both simultaneously.


Translate text between languages

**Operations Endpoint Overview**

This endpoint allows you to retrieve the results of asynchronous translation operations. Asynchronous mode is particularly useful for:

- Large translation volumes
- Batch processing of multiple text segments
- Processing complex formats (HTML, XML, XLIFF)
- Long-running translation tasks

When a translation request is submitted in async mode, an operation ID is returned immediately. This ID can then be used with this endpoint to check the status and retrieve results once the operation completes.

**Response States:**
- `done: false` - The operation is still in progress
- `done: true` - The operation has completed (successfully or with errors)
- If `error` is present, the operation failed
- The `response` field contains translation results when the operation completes successfully

**Note:** All providers support bulk translations and HTML/XML formats in async mode, even those that don't support these features in synchronous mode.


Get result of asynchronous translation

Languages

Returns an array of supported languages. For each language, the response includes:
- iso_name: ISO name of the language
- name: Localized name
- intento_code: Intento internal code

Routing

Returns a list of Smart Routing configurations available in the Intento Translation API.

Input/Parameters:
- `visibility` (query, string, optional): Allows filtering the routings by visibility (example: "all").
- `User-Agent` (header, string, required): Identifies the client (example: Intento.Integration.IntegrationName/1.0.0).
- `ApiKey` (header, string, required via security): API key for authentication.

Output/Response:
- `data` (array): List of Smart Routing objects, each containing:
    - `rt_id` (integer): Unique routing ID
    - `name` (string): Routing name
    - `description` (string): Routing description
    - `updated_at` (string): Last updated timestamp
    - `is_public` (boolean): If the routing is public
    - `is_active` (boolean): If the routing is enabled
    - `is_allowed` (boolean): If the caller can use this routing
    - `rule_groups` (array): Details on routing rules and failover logic
- `total` (integer): The number of Smart Routings returned.


Get list of Smart Routings

Retrieves detailed information about a specific routing template by its `rt_id`, including rule groups, source and target languages, provider configuration, glossary, processing rules, and metadata such as status and ownership.
